When the former Director of the Office for Government Ethic, Walter Shaub sounds the alarm, our response is to act like the whole country is burning down.
Here are the THREE ACTIONS TO TAKE RIGHT NOW.
ONE - STOP ONLINE BILL PAY / BANKING AND PAY THROUGH THE MAIL.
I know online bill pay and banking is convenient. I know it’s good for mother earth. And money talks. Mortgage lenders, credit card companies, banks, utility companies, cellular carriers, etc., will freak if they don’t get paid in a timely fashion. If enough of us do this, they will demand funding for USPS. Let’s get old fashioned and use the mail.
THE FACTS:
Postal Service workers are reporting that mail sorting machines are being removed from facilities all over the country. There are claims that over 500 machines will be removed. Secretaries of State in Michigan and Pennsylvania are reporting that they will not have the capacity to deliver ballots on time. Yesterday Trump said he opposes funding for USPS because he does want it used for mail in ballots. Doesn’t get more blatant than this friends.
STEPS TO TAKE:
REQUEST PAPER BILLS. This is easy. Just google request paper bills and the company name and you’ll get instructions on how to do this.
WRITE A CHECK. I have order some from the bank because I haven’t written a check or mailed a bill in years.
PUT THE CHECK IN A STAMPED ENVELOPE. You can buy stamps from the USPS by clicking this link. Buy a lot of them.
PUT THE BILL IN A MAILBOX. Presto.
TWO - MAIL IN BALLOTS
If you live in a state where you can vote by mail, which is most States at this point, request your mail in ballot right now so it has time to arrive. My State, Washington, is vote by mail so no need to do this. For most others, please click this link and request your ballot.
THREE. JAM THE PHONE LINES

Congress is on another recess without voting for the stimulus package which would provide aid for millions of Americans who are hurting. C’mon Kentucky, VOTE Amy McGrath (everybody else donate to food banks and Amy McGrath). Call your reps. Demand they restore the USPS and the stimulus package.
